This research focuses on Tibetan paper and its conservation, developed in collaboration with a team of experts during the restoration of two fragmentary Tibetan manuscripts from the Tucci Tibetan Collection, held at the Biblioteca nazionale centrale di Roma.
It has been an incredibly rewarding experience to work on such unique and fascinating objects, which bear witness to a rich cultural heritage that is now at risk of disappearing.
I hope this study may be of interest and contribute to opening new reflections and discussions around these remarkable books, both delicate and resilient carriers of history.
